Well here we are, back after our March Madness break.
Just to refresh your memories, its night 14 and the Heroes have just sent Tom home - another in a long list of Heroes sent packing. Candace had been adamant that the injured James should go, but now tells us she voted for Tom so as not to make anyone mad. In spite of that, Amanda tells us that no one trusts Candace and she should be the next Hero leaving on the Suckstobeyou Train.
Over at Camp Villain, Russell/Egg decides to have a little chat with Boston Rob. His intent is make Rob think that things are all nicey nicey between them. In fact, Russell tells us privately that Rob is a threat and anyone who threatens Russell is going down. The chat doesn't go well since Rob tells Russell that the tribe is pissed because he went looking for the hidden idol. The conversation ends with both of our two alpha males stalking away while telling the other to watch his back.
The next day an ambiguous tree mail note arrives. There will be a challenge involving hope and rope but beyond that no one can quite figure out what is going on. When they meet with Dimples he tells them both tribes will be going to Tribal Council to vote someone off. Each tribe will compete separately to establish who gets immunity. The winning member from each tribe will then compete against each other for reward. The challenge involves each tribe member being connected to a long rope that winds in, around, under and about a series of wooden obstacles. The Survivors must follow their rope through the course by climbing, twisting and crawling. Candace wins for the Heroes, thus making it impossible for them to follow through on their plan to send her home. Boston Rob wins immunity on the Villains team. Rob and Candace then square off to see which of their teams will win reward - a feast of hot dogs and soft drinks. Rob beats Candace to win reward for the Villains.**
The tribes return to camp to await Tribal Council and to strategize. On the Villains side, Coach finds himself squarely in the middle of two alliances. Rob hatches a plan where-by they will make Russell think he is going to be voted off, thus flushing out the idol. In reality though, they will vote for Parvati. But Russell is on to their game and says he will vote for Tyson and give Parvati his idol. Just when you think you know what's going on, Rob decides that they should split the votes between Russell and Parvati, ensuring that one of the two goes home. Russell figures this out too, and goes to Tyson. He tells Tyson that he is giving up and voting for Parvati. He can't stay loyal to her any more. Tyson, anxious to get the whole thing over with, decides to vote for Parvati too, thus messing up Rob's plan of three votes each.
Over at Camp Hero things are a little more straightforward. Colby says he knows he is going home and asks if they can just relax and enjoy the afternoon. James is disappointed in Colby. Apparently Colby is his all-time Survivor hero and he has let James down with his girly-man performance in the challenges. But there is still a faction that want's James to go. Amanda warns James that he better prove he can run and he better stop stealing bananas (the tribe has noticed). To do the former he has a race with JT, which JT wins while running backwards. To do the latter, James offers JT a banana.
So we get to Tribal Council. The Villains are up first. The votes are cast and Dimples asks if anyone wants to play an idol. Russell stands up and comes forward but surprises everyone by turning and giving the idol to Parvati. When the votes are counted Parvati has 4 votes, none of which count. Russell has two votes and Tyson has 3. Had Tyson stuck with Rob's plan he wouldn't be going home. But he didn't and he is. With Tyson goes Roberta from out pool. No one picked Tyson to win the million.
The Villains now get to eat their hot dogs while they listen in on the Hero's Tribal Council. James once again tells us how disappointed he is in Colby. He says its like finding out that Superman is wearing a fat suit. But fat suit or not, when the votes are counted, it is not Colby but James who is heading home. Amanda looks particularly miserable (understandable when we later see that she was one of those who voted against him). With James goes Pam from our pool. Lisa and Barb both picked James to be the overall winner so they are sad to see him go too.
So tonight we are down two. Who will be the next to go? See you next week to find out when we return to the regular Thursday schedule. Until then...
